With Windswept Safaris you'll have: TWO guides (an American and a Maasai) with you the entire adventure; you'll have the option of full-day Safaris every day (most just give partial days); we give back with a humanitarian gift of supplies to locals in every tour; you'll have REAL, AUTHENTIC cultural immersion experiences with the Maasai; and you'll also receive some highlight photos of your trip as a THANK YOU gift just for adventuring with us!

All three categories of tours will give you comfortable accommodations, a variety of delicious foods, and helpful, kind service from the staff. You’ll also have thoughtfully planned experiences that emphasize enrichment and adventure. The differences between the three are the type of accommodations, locations, special access passes, travel styles, dining options, and levels of service. With any of our tours, you can choose from an itinerary we’ve already created or customize one of your own.
- Our VALUE tours are our standard tours. They include everything you need to have an amazing safari experience – just without the added comforts, bells, and whistles of our other categories. Your accommodations will be clean, comfortable, and are all 3 star and above.
- Our CLASSIC is our mid-luxury tour which offers an upgrade in accommodations. These hotels have many more features, space, comfort, and are much closer to the wildlife. They also offer more variations of food than the Value tour. This allows you enjoy an enhanced safari experience while managing costs a bit more effectively.
- Our LUXURY tours prioritize accommodation location, service, food options, and added experiences. You’ll enjoy some of the highest levels of comfort and service Kenya has to offer. You’ll stay in impressive hotels, lodges, and tented camps with plush furnishings, private verandas, and top-notch amenities. Gourmet meals will be served, featuring local and international cuisine, often accompanied by spectacular views. You’ll have upgraded experiences and add-ons like a hot-air balloon ride over the Maasai Mara savannah, a dinner in the bush, and being able to play with a baby orphan elephants as a private group. Your experience will be enriched by personalized service, with every detail carefully attended to, allowing you to fully relax and savor the beauty and majesty of the African wilderness in unparalleled style.

About Your Guides:
Shelly is an American world traveler with a degree in Global Studies and a passion for wildlife and culture. She is also a photographer (most of the pics on this website are hers). Samuel (O.D.) is of the Maasai tribe and has over 10 years experience as a tour guide . He has extensive knowledge of Kenya, the Maasai community, and the Maasai Mara National Reserve. With our combined experience, dedication, and our unique blend of international perspective we ensure you'll have an authentic and unforgettable adventure!

Authentic Cultural Immersion
We go beyond just driving you to places. With Windswept Safaris, we can immerse you into authentic culture experiences. The Maasai is one of the few tribes in the world that still practices many of their ancient traditions. Since O.D. is of the Maasai tribe we have the option of visiting some of his family's traditional homes, hike "into the bush", have a Maasai home cooked meal, wield Maasai weapons (bows, spears, machetes), and visit some local artisan shops. These experiences are as real and enriching as they come.

Commitment to Community and Sustainability
Every adventure tour we offer includes a humanitarian gift, allowing you to contribute positively to the local community. We usually take school supplies to a local school in order to leave a lasting impact, fostering sustainability and community growth. There is also the option of buying supplies and/or animals at a local Maasai Market and gifting them to families in need.
